My name is Eva Fonn Alsaker and I work as the head of HR in Frydenbø Group. I have a bachelor's degree in economics, and I have later furthered my education within labour law and HR management. My career in Frydenbø began about 20 years ago, when I first started working in accounting and payroll. As Frydenbø grew larger, the firm saw the need for my current position in 2016. After an internal announcement, I was hired as head of HR. I am very grateful that the opportunity for a career development presented itself, and that Frydenbø continues to create opportunities for their employees. Today, I am responsible for HR across all of the companies within Frydenbø Group.
"I am very grateful that the opportunity for a career development presented itself, and that Frydenbø continues to create opportunities for their employees."
As head of HR, I have a responsibility to support the leaders in Frydenbø during processes such as hiring, downsizing, personnel matters, employee surveys, collective bargaining issues and salary settlements. In addition, I have the main responsibility concerning the payroll function in the group, making sure that good services are delivered to all of our companies. Being the HR manager for such a large organisation is both challenging and hectic, but also very educational. I like to face difficult issues and try to find the best solutions for all the parties involved.
Working for an organisation that displays social responsibility is something I strongly value. The fact that Frydenbø can set an example to suppliers, customers and local communities is something that is close to our values as an organisation.
The best thing about working for Frydenbø is the chance to be part of such a substantial firm, and have the opportunity to take on new challenges, and with that be able to grow within the same company. Frydenbø as an employer invests in developing their own, something any employee can appreciate. I also really appreciate the connections I have made with many different people through my position. The organisation offers a good working environment where we benefit from each other's professional competence, and together can reach our goals.
