Following the acquisition of Nordkapp Boats last year, Frydenbø has been open about an offensive growth strategy in the marine group. This agreement will be an important tool towards further investment.
- Mercury stands for quality, performance and reliability - a perfect match with Nordkapp and Sting. They will be able to contribute to us reaching high ambitions for growth in established markets, says an enthusiastic executive vice president in Frydenbø's naval division, Hans Petter Slang.
- Nordkapp and Sting are two of the most interesting boat brands on the market and it was only natural for us to start a dialogue with Frydenbø about these. Now that we have reached a good agreement for both parties, we are very much looking forward to embarking on an exciting collaboration with a bright future, says Marty Bass, President of Mercury Marine EMEA.
Frydenbø has extensive experience with sales of boats, engines and marine products. The group's marine division produces and sells the Nordkapp and Sting boats, which are produced at its own factory in Poland, and distributes Zodiac (Norway and Sweden), Iron (Norway) and Beneteau (Sweden). Frydenbø's marine division is part of Frydenbø Group, a family-owned group consisting of 5 subgroups: Marine, Automotive, Real Estate, Industry and NXT (investment/innovation). Frydenbø Group has 550 employees and a turnover in 2019 of NOK 3 billion.
